How to compare rubies

For ruby, compare red colour, transparency and inclusions. Distinguish heating from fracture filling: the treatment disclosure matters to both price and care. A commercial colour name alone is not laboratory evidence.

Start with a preferred colour, carat range, millimetre measurements and stone budget. Open individual offers and compare matching specifications; total price and price per carat answer different questions.

Measurements, documentation and current price

For an existing setting, specify length, width and depth as well as carat weight. Review photographs and video where available. When a laboratory report is supplied, match its number, stone identity and treatment disclosures to the offer. A missing treatment field does not automatically mean untreated.

Availability changes. Before ordering, confirm the individual stone, final price, delivery and applicable terms. If the filter has no results, broaden the size range or send a precise sourcing brief.
