Is a lab-grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Laboratory-grown diamonds have essentially the same chemical, physical and optical properties as natural diamonds, but are produced in a controlled environment. They are not moissanite or cubic zirconia. Origin should be clearly identified in the offer and laboratory document; their pricing market differs from that of natural diamonds.
CVD or HPHT: what should you check?
CVD and HPHT are different growth methods. The abbreviation alone does not determine which stone is more attractive. Check the laboratory document, origin identification and disclosed post-growth treatments. Compare these with actual images, video, measurements and appearance. Assessment systems differ between laboratories and report types, so compare the actual document rather than just the logo.
Carat, measurements and visible quality
Carat measures weight, not diameter. Two diamonds of the same weight can appear different in size because of shape and proportions. Compare millimetre measurements, colour, clarity, symmetry and available video. A laboratory report helps identify characteristics but does not replace visual assessment or guarantee a future resale price.

Solitaire, halo or three stones?
A solitaire focuses on one centre diamond. A halo surrounds it with smaller stones, while a three-stone composition shares attention between them. Prongs leave more of the stone exposed; a bezel surrounds its edge with metal. Discuss height, comfort and compatibility with a wedding band before finalising dimensions.

Individuals and businesses order stones directly through the exchange. Consultation is optional and jewellery craftsmanship is agreed separately. Purchases above EUR 10,000 undergo KYC, KYB for legal entities and AML checks in accordance with applicable Bulgarian and EU law.
